The Balance Cool Gel Memory Foam Topper is made to sit on top of a sofa bed mattress. It adds 5 cm of cushioning over the folding mechanism, softens the pressure points that make a pull-out feel firmer than a bed, and keeps the surface cooler than standard memory foam. Cut in the exact sizes of our sofa beds, so it lies flat with no overhang and no gap.

How it is built
- 2 cm quilted Cool Gel top layer. A soft, stitched surface that takes the edge off the mattress and stops the topper shifting under a fitted sheet.
- 3 cm Cool Gel memory foam core. Adapts to the shape of your body and spreads weight away from hips and shoulders.
- 5 cm total depth. Enough to change how the bed feels, thin enough to roll up and put away in the morning.
- Cool Gel technology. Gel infusion moves heat away from the surface, so it sleeps fresher than traditional memory foam.

Will this topper fit my sofa bed?
Yes, if it is one of ours. The topper is cut to the same sleeping areas as our sofa beds and chair beds. Match the sleeping area of your model to the table above and pick that size.
My sofa bed sleeping area is 205 cm long. Which size do I order?
The 200 cm version in your width. The 5 cm difference sits as a small margin at the head and foot and is not noticeable once the bed is made up.
Can I leave the topper on when I fold the sofa bed away?
No. The topper is designed to be lifted off and stored, the same as your bedding. It rolls up and goes back in its box, or inside a storage footstool if you have one.
Is it suitable for sleeping on every night?
Yes. The memory foam core is the same construction used in full-size bed toppers, so it holds up to nightly use rather than occasional guest nights.
Does memory foam sleep hot?
Standard memory foam can. This one is gel infused through both layers, which draws heat away from the surface and keeps it noticeably cooler through the night.
Will my fitted sheet still fit over it?
Put the topper on the mattress first, then the fitted sheet over both. Our Sofa Bed Expert fitted sheets are elasticated and made for the same sleeping areas, so they hold the topper in place.
How long before it is ready to use?
Unroll it, lay it flat on the open sofa bed and leave it a few hours. It regains full shape on its own, with no assembly and no tools.
Does it work on a pocket sprung sofa bed mattress?
Yes. It sits over any of our sofa bed mattresses, foam or pocket sprung, and adds cushioning without stopping the mechanism from folding once removed.
