Placing the Order

When placing your order, we will provide clear information about your selected product, including the model, size, fabric, colour, delivery details and care guidance.

Before confirming the order, please check that all details are correct. When buying online, you confirm your order by completing the checkout process. By confirming your order, you agree that the selected products, options and delivery details are correct.

We understand that buying a sofa or sofa bed online can feel like a big decision. It can be difficult to judge comfort, size, colour and fabric from photos alone, so we always encourage customers to ask questions or request fabric samples before placing an order.


Cancellation Before Delivery

We want you to feel completely comfortable when ordering from Sofa Bed Expert.

You can cancel your order at any time before delivery and receive a full 100% refund.

There are no cancellation fees before delivery. Simply contact us by email or phone and we will arrange the cancellation and refund.


14 Day Returns After Delivery

If your sofa or sofa bed has already been delivered and you decide it is not right for you, that is absolutely fine.

You have 14 days from the day after delivery to contact us and request a return or exchange.

There is no need for a long explanation. Simply let us know whether you would prefer:

  • A full return and refund
  • An exchange for a different model
  • An exchange for a different colour or fabric, where available

We will then arrange for our own delivery team to collect the item from your home.

The collection fee for eligible returns is currently £0.


Original Packaging Is Not Required

The original packaging is removed by our delivery team at the time of delivery, so customers are not required to keep or reuse the original packaging for a return.

If a return or exchange is arranged, our delivery team will bring suitable protective wrapping for collection.


Condition of Returned Items

Until the item is collected, the furniture remains under the customer’s care. We kindly ask that returned items are kept clean, undamaged and in good condition while they are in your home.

Returned furniture must not be damaged, stained, marked, heavily used, affected by smells, pet damage or misuse.

If an item is returned in a condition that is not suitable for resale, Sofa Bed Expert may make a fair deduction from the refund to reflect any loss in value.


Exchanges

If you like the comfort and quality but feel that a different size, model, colour or fabric would suit your home better, we will be happy to discuss an exchange.

Where possible, we will arrange the exchange using our own delivery team.


Fabric Samples Recommended

Choosing the right fabric and colour can be difficult from a screen. For this reason, we recommend ordering fabric samples before placing your order.

Fabric samples help you check the colour, texture and finish in your own home before making a final decision.


What If My Furniture or Home Is Damaged During Delivery?

Delivery of large furniture, including sofas and sofa beds, can sometimes be challenging due to narrow doors, corridors, staircases or restricted access.

Our delivery teams are trained and experienced in delivering and installing furniture carefully and safely. In the unlikely event that your furniture or any part of your home is damaged during delivery, our team will try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

If the furniture is damaged and cannot be repaired on the spot, we will arrange a suitable solution, which may include repair, replacement parts or replacement furniture where required.

If damage is caused to your property as a direct result of our delivery, we will work with you to resolve the matter as soon as reasonably possible, using appropriate professional services where necessary.


Service, Warranty & Complaints

Our team is here to help with any issues you may experience with your furniture.

As our furniture is handmade, occasional servicing may be required. Our trained technicians can resolve many issues in a single visit. If replacement parts are required, we will arrange them as quickly as possible and keep you updated throughout the process.

We aim to make initial contact within 3 working days of receiving your complaint. Where parts are required, repairs may take up to 30 days depending on availability.

1 Year Full Guarantee on All Items

Our 1 Year Full Guarantee covers your furniture against manufacturing defects or failures of the frame construction, suspension, springs, webbing, fabrics, inners, stitching, sofa bed mechanisms and any relevant electrical or motorised components.


What It Does Not Cover

The guarantee does not cover accidental or deliberate damage, misuse, normal wear and tear, neglect, or damage caused by exposure to chemicals, bodily fluids, unsuitable cleaning products or improper care.

The guarantee also does not cover damage caused by the customer after delivery, including stains, marks, burns, cuts, pet damage or incorrect use of the product.
