The Align 1000 is built from the springs up for support. Every layer is chosen to keep your body level, with a cooling gel memory foam surface so firm never means hard.

The Align 1000 is our firmer mattress, built for people who find a soft mattress too yielding. A 16 cm core of 1,000 individually pocketed orthopaedic springs holds your body level through the night, while a quilted layer of cooling gel memory foam takes the pressure off hips and shoulders without letting you sink in. The result is a stable, well supported sleeping surface that stays firm to the edge and stays cool until morning.

Who the Align 1000 is for
- Sleepers who like a firm bed. If your current mattress feels like it gives too much, this is the one to choose. Supportive first, cushioned second.
- Back and stomach sleepers. The firm spring core keeps the spine level rather than letting the hips drop below the shoulders.
- Couples. Each spring moves on its own, so one person turning over does not roll the other. The reinforced border also means you can use the full width without the edge collapsing.
- Warm sleepers. The gel infused top layer moves heat away from the surface, so it sleeps cooler than a standard memory foam mattress.

How it is built
- 2 cm quilted cooling gel memory foam. The top layer moulds gently to your shape and relieves pressure at the hips and shoulders. Gel infusion draws heat away from the surface.
- 4 cm supportive Flex Comfort Foam. A balanced cushioning layer between the memory foam and the springs, so you feel support rather than individual coils.
- 16 cm of 1,000 firm orthopaedic pocket springs. Each spring sits in its own fabric pocket and responds to your weight independently. This is what gives the Align 1000 its targeted support and low motion transfer.
- Reinforced Flex Support Border. A firm perimeter that keeps the mattress stable edge to edge, so sitting on the side or sleeping near it does not feel like a drop.
- 3 cm firm Flex Support Foam base. A dense foundation layer that keeps the springs level on any standard bed base.
Total depth is approximately 25 cm. The mattress is FIRA tested.

Frequently asked questions
How firm is the Align 1000?
Firm. It is our orthopaedic option, so the spring core is tensioned to hold you level rather than let you sink. The 2 cm layer of gel memory foam on top softens the surface enough to be comfortable without changing the overall firm feel. If you want a softer bed, choose the Serenity 1000 instead.
Is a firm mattress better for back pain?
Many people with back discomfort find a firmer, more supportive surface helps because it keeps the spine level through the night. The pocket springs in the Align 1000 support each part of the body separately, which is why it is described as orthopaedic. If you have a specific medical condition, ask your GP or physiotherapist what they recommend.
Will it fit my bed frame?
The Double is a standard UK double at 135 × 190 cm and the King Size is a standard UK king at 150 × 200 cm, so it fits any standard UK bed frame or divan of the same size. Check your frame's internal measurement if you are unsure.
Can I use this mattress in my sofa bed?
No. At around 25 cm deep it is a mattress for a bed, not a folding sofa bed mechanism. If you want a more comfortable sofa bed, add our Cool Gel Memory Foam Topper, which is cut to the sleeping areas of our sofa beds and lifts off when you fold the bed away.
Does memory foam sleep hot?
Standard memory foam can. The top layer of the Align 1000 is gel infused, which moves heat away from the surface, and it sits over a sprung core rather than a solid foam block, so air moves through the mattress far more freely than in an all foam mattress.
Will I feel my partner moving?
Much less than on an open coil mattress. Each of the 1,000 springs is in its own pocket and compresses on its own, so movement on one side does not travel across the bed.
Does it need turning?
Rotate it head to foot every few months so the comfort layers settle evenly. A fitted sheet or mattress protector will keep the quilted cover clean.
How quickly will it arrive, and is delivery free?
